Guinness storehouse

Built in 2000 in a part of the brewery dating from the beginning of the 20th century, this museum is visited following a marked route and a very well thought out scenography. You will be able to walk on seven floors among the giant tanks to discover the secrets of making one of the pride of Ireland. You can enjoy a Guinness offered under presentation of your ticket in the bar on the top floor of the tower.

Advice: go on the last floor to enjoy the beautiful view in the 360° Bar. If you want to have a little discount, book your tickets on the website before.

The Church

Is the place where Arthur Guinness married in 1761.

Built at the beginning of the 18th century, the church boasts many outstanding features, including the Renatus Harris built organ and the spectacular stained glass window. The original St. Mary's closed in 1964, remaining neglected until it was purchased by John Keating in 1997. Following an extensive seven-year restoration, this List 1 building finally re-opened its doors in December 2005 as John M. Keating's Bar.
The central nave has been transformed into a huge bar, the upper galleries into a restaurant, the choir into a concert stage and the crypt into a night club. This is one of the most unusual pubs in Dublin, where you will find a friendly atmosphere to discover new beers or drink a simple Guinness.

Advice: you can enjoy Live music and Irish Dancing every Sunday - Wednesday 7-9pm.

Opening hours: 10.30 - 00.00

Address: Jervis St, North City, Dublin 1

The Long hall

The interior decoration is very beautiful and sophisticated, typical of old Irish Pubs. Ceiling with moldings and paintings, stained glass and crystal chandeliers. The pub dates from 1880 and was built on the site of a bar that had gone bankrupt in 1866.

Advice: the pub is frequented by people who had between 35 to 55 years old.

Opening hours: 12.30 - 23.00

Address: 51 South Great George's Street, Dublin 2

Toner's

Is one of Dublin's oldest and most famous traditional pubs.

Low mahogany counter top, bevelled mirrors, old clock and wooden counterparts, as in a stable, this pub does not lack charm. Frequented by many of Ireland's literary greats, including Patrick Kavanagh, the bar was also the place where Dubliners like to go for a pint of Guinness that they share with friends.

Advice: you should go to celebrate the Arthurs Day (in September) it has been a huge success since it launched. "The public got a chance to vote and help bring a headline artist to their local pub. Toners, serving the best pint of Guinness in Dublin, got so much support from everyone and ended up being one of the winning pubs. The winning pubs were kept a secret until the night of Arthurs Day and to everyone's delight, Mumford & Sons walked in to Toners Yard and played an amazing set. »

Opening hours: 11.30 - 23.30

Address: 139 Baggot Street Lower, Dublin 2
